The soles of our feet must withstand all the pressure placed upon them during our lifetime by walking, running and standing. RICE The acronym RICE (rest, ice, compression, elevation) is used to remind people of the four basic elements of immediate treatment for an injured foot. A bag or towel containing ice should be wrapped around the injured area on a repetitive cycle of 20 minutes on, 40 minutes off (Ice). More often than not small toe pain, may be related to bone fracture or broken bone. You will have to check the alignment of a toe to check, if there are any changes in the alignment. Trauma, caused due to dropping a heavy object on the toes or due to repeated Flat Feet pressure or stress on the toes and there is misalignment, it is recommended, that a physician be consulted. In case the bone is broken, it is imperative that the bone is set in its place, else it can impede the bone's ability to heal properly.

A human foot is a complex formation of 26 bones. Generally the feet are the basis of mainly all physical movements and activities.
